Please join me in congratulating Hon. Alfred Okoh Vanderpuije on his election as Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Ghana’s Parliament. Alfred called me this morning to share the news and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening our partnership with ARDN.
A former Mayor of Accra, Vanderpuije currently serves as President of the Global Alliance of Mayors and Leaders for Africa and the Diaspora (GAMAD). Notably, he hosted the Third GAMAD Summit in Accra, further demonstrating his leadership and dedication to advancing the organization’s mission. Since its inception, ARDN has proudly served as the Secretariat for GAMAD, working closely to promote sustainable development and international cooperation.
In line with this partnership, Alfred has invited ARDN to undertake a fact-finding mission to Ghana in the near future. This initiative will provide valuable insights and strengthen our collaborative efforts in the region.
We look forward to continuing this meaningful engagement and supporting his leadership in this new role.
