African Renaissance and Diaspora Network
Excellent meeting today in Dakar with Bintia Stephen Tchicaya, Senior Policy Adviser for the FAO Sub-Regional Office for West Africa and her colleagues during which we explored partnership with African Renaissance and Diaspora Network in the rollout of its priority activities in the 15 countries of the Economic Community For West African States ( ECOWAS). The activities include promoting sustainable and nutrition sensitive food systems, contribute to sustainable peace by reducing risks and building resilience to shocks, promoting youth employment and empowerment of women as well as bringing about sustainable management of the environment and natural resources.
Partnership around the ARDN Campaign to Give a Red Card to All Forms of Discrimination and Violence Against Women and Girls also featured prominently in the conversation.
