On March 17, 2025, I had the privilege of hosting a Reception and Dinner in New York City, following up on the tremendous success of our High-Level Event on March 13. This gathering was an opportunity to continue building partnerships and translating our shared commitments into concrete actions.
Co-hosted by the African Renaissance and Diaspora Network (ARDN), the World Madam Foundation (WMF), and the Human Rights Institute of Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL), the evening brought together leaders and advocates to strengthen collaboration for gender equality, social justice, and sustainable development.
I was particularly honored to acknowledge Ms. Anni Huang, President and CEO of the World Madam Foundation, for her leadership and dedication to empowering women through the Red Card Campaign. I also recognized Professor Yuanqing Zhu of SWUPL for his insightful contributions to intergenerational justice and youth leadership.
A special mention goes to Ambassador Daniel Del Valle Blanco, whose commitment to youth empowerment and leadership continues to inspire us all.
Our discussions focused on three key themes:
1. Climate Change and Intergenerational Justice
2. Youth Engagement in the Digital Age
3. Protecting the Rights of Older Generations in the Digital Era
These conversations reinforced the need for ongoing collaboration and meaningful action. I also announced our next major event: the celebration of Africa Day at the United Nations Headquarters on May 25, 2025.
The motto of the World Madam Foundation resonates deeply:
“One small step for Madams, one giant leap for the world.”
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our efforts. Together, we will continue to make strides toward a more just and inclusive world.
